Also, if you plan on hiking, biking, camping or fly fishing, make your plans accordingly. There are few areas of this country that have the same kind of historical significance as the Hudson Valley. This was one of the first areas that was colonized during the exploration of the new world. This was also a very important area in this nation's struggle for freedom in it's formative years. Over the years this is an area that has seen the best of society and some difficult times as well.
